We are in the process of creating a system that directly emails everyone registered with us. In the meantime, we post all casting calls in our Facebook Group London & Area Casting Calls
We cannot guarantee how often you will work as London is still growing with film opportunities.
As we continue to grow and fill the casting needs of the productions that are coming, more opportunities will arise. We need to show them that London has it all and its the place to film!
When you are confirmed for a booking always check your email the night before the shoot for your call time.
In this email you will be given the location, wardrobe and other important notes.
Please read the entire email carefully and reply that you have done so.
*The film industry uses Military Time. Click the button below for the clock
A typical workday can be up to 10 hours.
When you accept a booking you must commit to the full day regardless of the amount of hours.
On an ACTRA (union) set everyone is paid a minimum of 8 hours unless otherwise specified. Meaning, if you are booked and wrap within 6 hours, you are still paid for 8.
Upon arrival most productions will have you go to a designated area called BG Holding. This is where all Background Performers are to report. Be sure to read all the information in your Call Time email as it will have the exact location and instructions on where to go.
A BG Representative will be there to sign you in. You must do this before your call time. We recommend being there at least 15-20 minutes early. Any questions just ask the BG representative, they are there to help and instruct.
The BG Representative will give you a voucher to fill out. It's very important you put your full legal name.
Your voucher is one of the most important things you will have on set. Always fill it out clearly and keep it handy.
Be sure to fill out your voucher during your free time to ensure it is completed before the end of your shift. At the end of your work day you will line up in BG Holding where the BG Representative will sign your voucher. You will not get paid unless you sign out with the BG Representative and they hand you your copy of the voucher.
*If you want to become an ACTRA Member, you track your hours through your vouchers. You must have 15 vouchers within a 12-month period to become a member.
Cheques arrive around 3-4 weeks after your workday.
Our Service Fee has to be paid to us within 30 days from your work-day. Upon receiving your cheque, please email accounting@castlondon.ca with a photo pf your paystub/cheque and voucher. You will be invoiced for the service fee owed.
*Failure to pay the service fee will result in no more bookings until paid.
If you have any questions we encourage you to reach out
